The Usui No. 3 Bridge, commonly known as the Glasses Bridge, is japan's largest brick-making bridge.
It is one of the bridges in usui pass of the former Japanese National Railways Shin-Etsu Main Line, and it is a bridge made in 1893 (Meiji 26).
After the electrification of the Shin-Etsu Main Line, a new line was established in 1963, and the role as a railway bridge was completed.
In 1997, the new line was also abolished, and now its role has shifted to the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
Point
After parking your car in the parking lot, you can walk along the promenade to the height of the bridge and walk on the bridge.
Around here.
It is located along National Route 18 (Nakasendo), and if you go from the Gunma side, it is in front of Karuizawa.
If it is only for the purpose of movement, it is faster to go through the "Usui Bypass", so if you pass near here, it will be a long way, but it is a recommended place if you have time.

Parking lot of Usui No. 3 Bridge (Glasses Bridge)
There was a place where cars could be parked near Each Bridge, but the parking lot seems to be basically only one place.
It is a free parking lot, but it is not so large that you can park about 20 cars, so it was full on holidays. The national highway
is one lane on one side, and it is difficult because the car behind gets stuck when waiting at the entrance of the parking lot when waiting for
it to be vacant.... In that case, it is good to wait for the parking lot to go back and forth.
There are toilets in the parking lot and sidewalks along the national highway. The parking lot
is located a little more on the Karuizawa side than Each 55-bridge, and it takes about 2-3 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the right under the bridge.
In the past, people were wondering where to park their cars, but now they are becoming tourist destinations.
