Can you see Gunkanjima from around here?

There is a Gunkanjima Observatory in Nomozaki Sports Park adjacent to gunkanjima museum, and you can see Gunkanjima with the naked eye after visiting the museum.

Inside the building

There are introductions on panels, images of gunkanjima at the time when it was flourishing, introductions with models, etc., and you can learn about Gunkanjima and its his
tory. Basically, you can't take photos inside the museum, but you can take photos around the entrance except for some exhibitions.

There was also an introduction corner of Kabashima near gunkanjima
museum. This is recommended for driving because you can cross by car.

Building 30 (Japan's first reinforced concrete high-rise apartment building) visible from land

The photo above is taken from Mt. Gonning, and it is "Building 30", one of the remaining buildings on Gu
nkanjima. Built in 1916, this seven-story building is Japan's first high-rise reinforced concrete apartment building. Although it is a historically valuable bu
ilding Reiwa, it is said that the exterior wall and beams (red frame part of the photo below) collapsed due to heavy rain in July 2010, and it is in danger of collapse.

Because it is a high-rise building more than 100 years old and is also part of the World Heritage Site, I want you to take measures and continue to remain.

There is a Nagasaki Expressway in the vicinity, and it is a good place to access.

Nearest IC:　 Nagasaki Expressway Nagasaki IC

I think that ic is convenient here for high-speed road from any direction.

It takes about 40 minutes from the IC.

Free parking is available in the park where the museum is located.

When I visited, I was doing construction work, so the parking lot may change from the photo.
